How much pocket money did you get when you were younger?
RQ: I didn’t really get any. I got what I asked for - most of the time. But my Aunty gave me £10 a month.

Did you get more or less than your siblings/friends?
RQ: Pretty much the same really.

Were you better at spending or saving?
RQ: Spending, for sure!

What did you save your money in?
RQ: I never saved - not when I was young anyway…

What did you spend your pocket money on?
RQ: Sweets and stuff for my bike. I use to “pimp-my-bike”!

Did you ever ask your parents for a raise?
RQ: I was always asking for money!

How much did you ask for?
RQ: £5 or so.

Did you get it?
RQ:
Nope! My cheeky smile and puppy eyes never worked!

What was the most expensive item you ever bought with your pocket money?
RQ: Ohh… Michael Owen boots. I wanted the blue ones as everyone had the red ones.

When did you open your first bank account and why?
RQ: I think I was as old as 16.

Do you have any money or savings tips for OINK! readers?
RQ: Save your cash and spend it wisely – because once it’s gone, it’s gone! Money doesn’t grow on trees!
