| Q:
How much pocket money did you get when you were younger ?
RS:
I used to get £5 from my parents and £5 from my nan, and extra
if I was good.
Q:
Did you get more or less than your siblings / friends?
RS:
Not sure exactly,
but we all used to do the same things so about the same.
Q:
Were you better at spending or saving?
RS:
Spending!
Q:
Why?
RS:
Because as
I got older I got really interested in music and cinema - if you see something
you have to get it!
Q:
What did you save your money in?
RS:
A Piggybank
(which was always empty). I remember I was so excited when I opened my
first bank account when I was 16, and having my own cash card and feeling
really grown up.
Q:
What did you spend your pocket money on?
RS:
Things like
pop singles, make-up and clothes.
|
Q:
Did you ever ask your parents for a raise?
RS:
No, but I
did ask for extra from next weeks pocket money if I really wanted something.
Q:
What was the most expensive item you ever bought with your pocket money?
RS:
It was usually
clothes. I always spent all my pocket money on one thing and used to get
into trouble from my mum, as I had none left for the rest of the week.
Q:
When did you open your first bank account and why?
RS:
I was 16 and
again I felt so grown up having the control over my own money and a cash
card.
Q:
Do you have any money or savings tips for OINK! readers?
RS:
Always check
what you spend, because it is so easy to forget that a credit card is
real money. Always keep receipts, check your balance, and most importantly
have a really good relationship with your bank manager!
