It all depended on how good I was and how many chores I did!

I always got less than my brothers because they are older than me.

SM:
Definitely spending! I loved buying stuff like gadgets and magic tricks.

SM:
A Chocolate Money machine!

SM:
Sweets and games.

SM:
I started working for my parents when I was 12, so rather than pocket
money I was getting wages. They paid me £10 a week to help out on
their market stall - selling all the latest gadgets and toys!

What was the most expensive item you ever bought with
your pocket money?
SM:
Computer games – but I did have to save for them.

When did you open your first bank account and why?

When I was 15 years old – I really wanted to start trying to save.
