Q: How much pocket money did you get when you were younger?

AG: 10p a week but once my dad gave me loads of old 5p pieces which I thought was amazing! However, obviously it wasn’t amazing at all because they were worthless!

Q: Did you get more or less than your siblings/friends?

AG: I got loads less.

Q: Were you better at spending or saving?

AG: I was better at spending because I’m a generous type of guy.

Q: What did you save your money in?

AG: I had a money box - It was a tortoise which was £1 from the £1 shop and, I still have it!

Q: What did you spend your pocket money on?

AG: I spent my pocket money on sweets (cola bottles mainly) and football stickers.

Q: Did you ever ask your parents for a raise?

AG: Yeah, I asked but never got one.

Q: What was the most expensive item you ever bought with your pocket money?

AG: I saved for ages and ages and eventually bought a Middlesbrough football strip.

Q: When did you open your first bank account and why?

AG: Can’t remember when exactly but it was a Savings Account. It was only 10p and you got a free money box.

Q: Do you have any money or savings tips for OINK! readers?

AG: Save as much as you can afford, but try and enjoy it too.
